Quill - a wonderful editor
I recently discoverd Quill.js (https://quilljs.com/), a powerful rich text editor for the web. In its most basic mode, ASP developers can use it like here.

Worse case, or best case scenario have AI do the work, or at he very least create a workflow how to do the damn thing.

TinyMCE is only free for open source GPL-projects.
@Nick, I don't want to revive QS and I don't want to reach WP developers... And I don't think Gutenberg goes anywhere except in the WP-environment. And even there Gutenberg is not very popular or loved. It gets a poor 2.1 out of 5 on https://wordpress.org/plugins/gutenberg/#reviews. That said, I do like Gutenberg a lot. But an average WP user - who does not have affinity with webdesign/development - will simply never get much out of it and create very boring/ugly WP sites using it. - Pieter says: (24/08/2025 22:19:16)Nick, there is another very annoying consequence of Gutenberg not being embraced by a fair amount of WP users: Elementor. Elementor has basically hijacked the WP-ecosystem.
I forbid my students to use Elementor or any other pagebuilder/block-editor. They have to use Gutenberg with the default Twenty Twenty Five theme.

If Gutenberg would have been a little more dummy-proof, Elementor would never have become the most popular page builder/block theme for WP... It's a biiiiig shame if you ask me...
